Experience our stunning winter trip that covers the highlights of the Marine Reserve

This is the best short trip we have ever run.  It’s the perfect option for Winter’s stunning shorter days and takes in sooo many of the kayak highlights in the Abel Tasman.

Start with a scenic ride on our Water Taxi into the heart of the national park through to Onetahuti Beach.  From here it is a short paddle out to Tonga Island to observe the antics of the resident New Zealand Fur Seals Kekeno and watch out for little Blue Penguins too! We then maximise the tide and weather conditions to explore the best of Shag Harbour, Reef Point, the sweeping golden sands of Onetahuti Beach, Tonga Arches, Falls River Swing Bridge, Sand Fly Bay Mosquito and Bark Bay lagoons, Once we are done we enjoy a scenic water taxi cruise back to our Marahau Base

Your trip includes hot drinks and chocolate cake, please bring your own packed lunch.

Paddling is our business, with all activities supported by our purpose-built kayak base, free hot showers, free wifi, free equipment storage & client transporters. We also provide high-quality soft gear - fitted for each client by our guides and high-quality hard gear – customised for comfort for each client.

On this trip covering the Tonga Island Marine Reserve coastline you have a professional guide with you for around 4 hours sharing their knowledge and passion of the Abel Tasman. We cater morning tea.

Minimum of two people required to run this trip.

Every trip is unique like each of our clients.
