Such a great day out. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the history of the park which made the trip super interesting as well as fun. They also gave a intricate safety briefing which made me feel confident about being on the water. Beautiful stop for lunch. Fantastic day out and can highly recommend Abel Tasman kayaks

We loved the combined kayak and walk Absolutely amazing experience! The combined kayak and walk tour with Abel Tasman Kayaks was the highlight of our trip. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day really fun. Kayaking along the beautiful coastline and seeing seals up close was incredible, and the walk back offered stunning views of the park. Everything was well organized and stress-free. Highly recommend this tour! ๐ฃโโ๏ธ๐ฟ

An unforgettable day on the water My sea kayaking trip with Abel Tasman Kayaks was nothing short of incredible. From start to finish, everything flowed with ease โ the kind of day that feels both effortless and full of magic. Our guide was an absolute delight to share time and space with โ experienced, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and giving us room to soak it all in. You could tell he truly wanted us to have the best possible experience, taking us to hidden coves, quiet beaches, and crystal-clear stretches of water that felt straight out of a postcard. The pace of the trip was relaxed and enjoyable, with enough time to pause, connect, and take in the beauty of Abel Tasmanโs coastline. Between the wildlife sightings, the golden sand, and the calm rhythm of paddling, it was the perfect way to experience the natural charm of this incredible place. Topping it off with a home-made lunch and walk along the famous coastal track was a treat. If youโre considering exploring Abel Tasman by kayak โ do it. And if you can, go with Abel Tasman Kayaks. Itโs an adventure that leaves you both refreshed and inspired. Completely loved our kayaking experience! Because of the weather, the organizers changed the plan (kayaking route) which did not leave us sufficient time for the hiking as we all preferred at the end to enjoy the beach and surroundings than a 30 minutes hike! So-be flexible. The group was small (6 of us), our guide so warm, knowledgeable and you can feel how much he loves and cares deeply for protecting the park and its water! Thanks for a wonderful day.

We visited Abel Tasman Kayaks today as part of our honeymoon to NZ. This definitely stood out as one of the highlights.
The package we chose was the guided kayak and then walk back from observation beach.
Our guide was Zac, who was fantastic. Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable guy, who made the experience unique and fun. He was also a Lord of the Rings fanatic, so I believe that deserves extra points!
All the other staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, such as Nicole who was at the main kayak building.
We saw plenty of wildlife whilst on the water, and Zac had plenty of facts to tell us as we made our way up the coast.
The scenery was heavenly and the lunch that was provided was simple but tasty (sandwiches, cake, coffee and fruit). All whilst sitting on a perfect beach, with the good company of our guide.
The hike back was a decent stretch of about 5 miles/8km, but mixed terrain with some hilly sections. Loads of the wonderful NZ bird life to see too. And about 1 km from the main kayak station, was a great cafe to refuel.
This was a lovely addition to the trip, a perfect way to explore the national park. We would highly recommend.

Amazing trip!! We did the walk first and then the kayaking in the afternoon, which was a really good way to do it. We ended up hiking a bit further past the meeting point as we had time to, which is definitely worth it. The kayaking section was incredible! The sea was so calm, and there were so many seal pups around Adele Island and the surrounding waters. We were on the water for around 2/2.5 hours which was so nice. Highly recommend this trip to anyone, would do it again in a heartbeat!

Great experience! We saw sea lions and their pups, and had a very easy day kayaking. Unfortunately it rained a lot the previous days so the water was murky, but it was still fantastic. Our guide was great fun and he told us a lot of interesting stuff about the place and its history.
