We visited Abel Tasman a couple of weeks ago and took the one day kayak and walk tour. What an amazing experience. All the staff were super helpful and friendly but special mention goes to our kayak guide Harley. He was friendly and chatty, very knowledgeable and great at managing the varied abilities of other people in our group. We enjoyed the experience so much that we returned the next day to take their water taxi out to Bark Bay, we walked back to Anchorage and were picked up again and returned to Mārahau. They are super organised and professional whilst making every experience feel friendly and relaxed. I highly recommend them for visits to Abel Tasman national park.

If you want an authentic experience, this is definitely the place to go. From the moment we stepped foot into the reception to leaving, every staff member we encountered was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely wanted to help and make our first kayaking experience one to remember. Our guide was Belverre (might be incorrectly spelt sorry). He was knowledgeable, professional and very funny. We had a safety briefing before we went out on the water and felt very safe on the water. Definitely recommend!!

Had a lot of fun on our all day kayaking trip. Our tour guide was fun and chatty. We got to see some dolphins on our boat ride out to our starting point too. The provided lunch was delicious. Would highly recommend going on a kayaking tour! It was one of the highlights of our trip.

What a fabulous half day paddling with AT kayaks after 3 days walking the track. Tachelle was a top notch guide who definitely knows her stuff and was also passionate about sharing info on the local birds, seals and Mārahau history. Thanks Tāwhirimatea for keeping an eye on the weather for us. Especially after a rather blustery previous day walking where we had seen what it could be like paddling without a guide!! We loved the opportunity to explore via the kayak, some caves a peaceful estuary and Adele Island. We even got a swim in at the Observation Bay lunch stop. Great lunch too. Having walked heaps the last 3 days we opted to water taxi back. So fortunate to live in this beautiful country “ Living our best lives in our 60’s.

the instructions beforehand were incredibly clear and comprehensive and everything was arranged down to the last detail. Highly recommended!

Our friend group had the most amazing experience with Abel Tasman Kayaks! From the get-go, the team was friendly and conducted a very professional safety screening. We got super lucky with amazing weather and had the best time. We absolutely recommend making a stop at Te Pukatea. We also ordered lunch from them and it was so good and made our day better!

We also hired them for our baggage transfer from hut to hut, and they did an amazing job transporting all of our belongings safely. They even went the extra mile by packing a bag containing the PB and jelly we had left behind in the kayak into one of our bags. Our group will be eternally grateful for our PB&J sandwich breakfast the morning after! 🥪💞
