Abel Tasman Kayaks - awesome experience. Idyllic conditions, amazing views and great guide. Alatea (or Aowtea) was an amazing guide. He was fun, informative and skilled. We had a wonderful morning tour - saw the fur sea lions and a delicious lunch and swim at the end. The colour of the water, the beautiful mountains around us made for a fantastic trip. Highly recommend.

My wife and I wanted to hire a kayak to see the coastline of the southern part of Abel Tasman NP and walked into the office of Abel Tasman Kayaks and were greeted by a friendly face that explained to us our options. We decided to book a Park start, 2 day trip, for the following day. We have some camping gear, and they provided what we did not have.
They provided a comprehensive safety briefing and gave us good boats and equipment for our trip.
They provided us with a map and recommendations of sights to see, coves to visit, and beaches for landing and swimming.
We were a bit concerned with the distance to cover on our day to return to the pick up and they reassured us, and gave us some info for a back up plan.
We had a wonderful time! We camped in a beautiful cove and were able see to parts of the park only visited by boat.
Great team of folks here!! The vibe is most high!!
Highly recommend a trip like this and booking it with this outfitter.
Thanks!!

We had a wonderful full-day of kayaking on Abel Tasman with our guide Georgia. Undoubtedly the coolest Kiwi we’ve met on our round trip of New-Zealand. She’s a gem of a person!
Safety-instructions were very thorough, Georgia taught us a lot about the local fauna and the kayaks & gear themselves were of great quality (steering-pedals, spray skirt, waterproof compartments). Our group had 4 people in the morning and 8 in the afternoon: perfect to get to know other travelers without it becoming too many people.
As campers, it was great that we had the possibility to shower after kayaking as well.
Definitely the highlight of our New-Zealand trip!

We did the 3 Day Classic Guided Kayak Tour. What an absolutely stunning part of the world. Everything was so well organised by Abel Tasman Kayaks. Reid, our guide, is 2nd to none. Very professional, knowledgeable and passionate about the wildlife and environment, great company and gave us all a trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much
