What our customers say
Absolutely brilliant team at Able Tasman kayaks. Alex was our leader and was full of enthusiasm and knowledge - impressive rattling off of species, flora and fauna. Weather was pretty rough but she led us safely in swelling seas. Great lunch. There was a slight mishap with a personal T shirt but the company more than made up for it. Great bunch of people . I heartily recommend them

I booked the Walk&Kayak Tour with Abel Tasman Kayaks including pickup from Nelson. The stuff has been very nice, reliable, puntual and created a highly enjoyable tour! The introduction into the gear, risks, and rules were thoroughly done, and I felt very comfortable. The kayaking was not exhausting at all, even I never did it before. The stuff took care at all times for their group and allowed for enough breaks for arms ;-) Coffee-Cake and Lunch time were very tasty too! A great day!

We did a one day freedom kayak and it was one of the best days of my life. I highly recommend the company, the team, and the amazing location. We explored everything in the lower section of the park below the 'mad mile'. I highly recommend taking the time to head south to experience split apple rock close up and the caves and tunnels just to the north of it, especially at high tide. My favourite spot to land and explore was Stream Cove on the east side of Adele Island. On the mainland, we really enjoyed the time at Observation Beach.
Thank you for the great service and fabulous day.

The 2 Day Kayak & Walk North trip was a highlight of our 3 weeks in New Zealand. For how exceptional of an experience it was, the value from Abel Tasman Kayaks can't be beat. They organized everything logistically and gave great orientation/advice, making it super easy. We brought all our own camping gear & food. This is an incredible piece of the world and exploring it via kayak was an absolute blast!.

Our guide was great, super knowledgeable and brought lots of positive energy.
The views were amazing, we saw lots of wildlife and with the high tide we paddled through 3 beautiful lagoons.
The lunch was also delicious!

I fully recommend Abel Tasman Kayaks. The two of us joined 3 others and Henry, our guide, paddling out and then walking back. Henry was a really great guide (and we’ve seen our fair share over the years). He mixed a real passion for New Zealand’s culture with interesting information about our surroundings, humour and care for the different needs of our group. The kayaks were good and ensured our kit stayed dry. The journey gave us views of flora as well as seabirds and seals. It finished with an excellent picnic on the beach before we took ourselves home along the simple 8km footpath. Others used water taxis or walked to other locations before grabbing their taxi. This is a small, caring firms with really friendly staff. I highly recommend you use them.
